Geez I am going to have (another) SMART kid. Pregnancy brain is already taking its toll on me. Read on...
This morning I woke up SUPER early to beat it across town for a 7:30am NT scan. I was so excited, looking forward to seeing my little sweetie once again.
I get to the office, only for the clerk to tell me that my appointment was NEXT Wednesday and not today. Puzzled and annoyed, I try to recall the conversation between myself and the nurse that scheduled the appointment. I am adamant that she told me "Wednesday at 7:30" without specifying a date. I even had a calendar reminder set in my phone for THIS morning, as proof.
Since they didn't have my doctor's order for the scan there at the center, there was nothing they could do. I either had to wait an hour for the doc's office to open or come back next week. I selected the latter.
I leave, irritated that I just burned up about 20 miles worth of $4.20/gallon high octane gasoline and thinking about how I could've stayed in bed for another hour or so.
I drive to my office, get myself settled in to begin working and then opened my desk calendar. Lo and behold, the truth is revealed. My appointment was, in fact, for next Wednesday.
Apparently I wrote the correct information down when talking to the nurse and then proceeded to put the WRONG info in my phone's calendar.
Aye carumba!
