Plans for hope and a future - pregnancy loss

Yesterday was my final appointment to see if there was any growth of my three little ones.

Unfortunately, it looks like my pregnancy is over. The babies DID grow from my last appointment, however there were still no heartbeats detected. Two of the sacs were measuring at 6 weeks and one measured at 7 weeks 4 days and showed some growth inside. The doctors best guess at what happened is that they split very early on, but each one took too many chromosomes so they couldn't develop past a certain point.

I prayed about it a lot, and last Sunday I heard His answer loud and clear. A great sense of peace came over me, and I accepted it. I knew the news I was going to receive, but still... hearing it from a doctor was very painful. I am struggling with feeling like I've let my husband down. That I've messed up the one job I was put on this earth to do. I know it's irrational, but nothing I'm feeling makes much sense. There's also a lot of relief. Even though it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, we are so glad to finally have some answers.

The doctor wanted me to go for a D&C next week, but I begged for something sooner. Not that I want to forget my babies, but I feel like after waiting for a month I really need some closure sooner rather than later. They ended up be able to work me in tomorrow at noon. I am so saddened that I even have to do this, but grateful for the fresh start.

We were told to wait one cycle before trying again, so we will do exactly that. We have so much love to give and are meant to have children in our life, one way or another.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
