What's Wrong with Hospital Staff?? (hearing from others' experiences)

Some ladies in different states and maybe countries complained about their being treated bad by nurses and other hospital/clinic staff. How in the world?! After hearing all the awful things, I feel so grateful and lucky to be in Utah at one of the Intermountain chain hospitals. The nurses are angels. Yelling and calling names wouldn't fly here. At all. The manager is the nicest guy ever as well. Checks on patients himself and asks what we need. We have mental health support and physical therapist for those staying long weeks at the hospital. We have restaurant quality food and proper care. I'm just appalled after reading some stuff and talking to some girls. :O The last thing we need is being treated like crap! It's hard enough as it is.

I've had a lot of good and bad luck with our hospital but mostly lately it's all been bad. Including a trip to the ER for my baby girl a couple weeks ago who was extremely ill. I was told to bring her back to the ER or to her DR if she wasn't better in 3 days, she had worsened and her doctor was out until Monday. I couldn't get her in to any other doctors in the office either. So I took her to the ER and the DR told me "I see sicker babies than this who are actually lifeless when they come in." they acted like I was an inconvenience even though I was told to come back if she wasn't better. I actually thought I might lose her as I had never seen a baby so sick. Luckily, they were right and she is fine now but they treated me badly and acted as though I were crazy and imagining everything. I have thought about switching to the other system in our area and likely will. That being said, they do have more great doctors than bad ones.

I am going to a different hospital this time and they are so much better. The hospital I went to with Celene, the nurses always seemed like it was a burden for me to go in to be checked out and one of the Drs was incredibly rude. This time the nurses always make sure that I know I did the right thing coming in and say that if anything ever feels even a little off not to hesitate to come in because that is why they are there. And the Drs and midwives there are the same one's from my Dr's office.
