15 dpo level
By Angela18 » Posted Feb. 28, 2018 9:40am - 206 views - 3 comments

This is my first time getting my levels checked and for those who don’t know, they did it because my urine sample was so diluted it came back negative. So we get the results almost a week later and now they want me to repeat (which I know is customary) to make sure my #s are doubling but she won’t check my progesterone till they get those #s (which will take just as long) and I’ll be 6 weeks by then. HA! What a joke. My hcg was 135 at 15 dpo and my test lines are getting darker so hoping it’s doubling. I’m more concerned about the progesterone since I’m BFing. I’m a complete basket case right now and I’m trying to keep my anxiety down a few notches but it’s hard for me. We were planning on trying next cycle or the one after this, and so this surprise has kind thrown me off a bit. Very Welcomed surprise but with my crazy life and family, I already feel I’m behind the eight ball. It’s only been a year since my last, I’m older, etc so they say more risks for baby and pregnancy, so more stress that I should just let go of, sigh...too bad drinking isn’t healthy during pregnancy.

That sounds like a pretty good level to me for 15 DPO. I'm so happy to hear that your test are still getting darker. I don't know what in the world could be taking a doctor's office so long to get your test results back. Even when I have blood drawn at my regular doctor's office it's usually 2 or 3 days before I get the results back. Can't wait to hear the results of your next draw even if it takes a few days.

Wow, crazy you had to deal with that! Well, as far as the doctor, I don’t know her real well it’s the midwife who’s an old battle ax, ugh. And if I have to deal with her for most of the pregnancy I can tell we are going to be butting heads because at this point in my life and going through doctor visits, etc, I have no patience left. IDK maybe I’m getting old, lol. As far as the nursing, I’ve only started my cycles in Oct and only one with a normal luteal phase that I could tell, maybe two which kind of speaks for itself on the progesterone part. Bernadette stopped (for now) night waking again so hopefully that will help but I’m trying to keep the nursing down till I get to 2nd trimester (hopefully) thanks for your reply, glad to be back with you too and only a few weeks apart!

It seems to me if the tests are getting darker then the bHCG test will probably have doubled. Does breastfeeding reduce progesterone levels? You could always get the cream just in case since it won't hurt anything to use it. It irritates me how they treated you from what you wrote in your first journal. Like do they think you don't know when you are pregnant??? It's not like you don't have other children. It's really rare to find a good doctor these days. I have had my doctor for so long... at first, I didn't like her. She's kind of odd. I began to realize what I was taking as her being rude or having an attitude was just her normal odd self and although it seemed rude, she wasn't meaning it that way. I have had my share of awful doctors though. Including one who when I saw him for a miscarriage asked me why I came there and yelled at me and told me his office was not a fertility clinic so obviously I just left. so glad you're back again with me! Sending prayers everything is good! <
