Putting my foot in my mouth!
By Angela18 » Posted Jun. 14, 2018 12:43am - 157 views - 6 comments

Had my 20 week scan and am so relieved that everything looks great. The doctor wasn’t there so I’ll get final results later but the tech said she didn’t see anything and everything was measuring right on.

Two weeks ago they looked quickly and I did have placenta previa but it moved so that’s great news too. But, we WERE planning on waiting till delivery to find out the sex of the baby but the ding dong didn’t ask us she just blurted it out! Now this is our fifth and I’ve always been asked prior to if we wanted to know the gender, and the one time I don’t t they just offer up info. So, oh well, it’s a girl and we all TOTALLY thought boy, even strangers, lol. So much for me always knowing when it’s a boy, hence my foot in my mouth. We are all around happy, mostly just relieved that all seems ok :)

Now we must think of girl names as we were already decided if it was a boy...

It’s true, when they do the scan unless you don’t look, how do ya miss it, right? Once she was doing measurements it was pretty obvious there was nothing between her legs, lol. We are so happy though, but my youngest DD is probably not going to adjust well...she gets a little huffy even if she sees me and hubby loving on each other so I don’t think she’s going to be happy about a little baby clinging to me. We’re trying to talk to her about it but doesn’t seem to register with her yet...oh well, one thing at a time

Yay for a girl!!! I know it sucks being wrong, but it seems like there's a wave of healthy girls happening right now. Sorry they kind of ruined your surprise though. The tech made double sure we wanted to know before we started, but we saw Chase's bits as soon as she put the wand on my belly, so I would have known anyways lol.

Congratulations on a girl!! that's wonderful news - even if you didn't really want to hear it lol. I'd be mad. But it's hard to be mad when you get good news.

Awww, well I hope your DH has a change of heart! This will be girl # 3 and two boys. We are hoping we are able to squeeze one more out after this so we shall see :)

Wow! I've never heard of a tech just blurting it out like that. Congratulations! How many girls and boys will you have now? 5 babies is my dream but DH is pretty firm on 2 so hoping I can get three when all is said and done.

Aww congrats! A little girl!! I’m so glad your ultrasound went well, though that is annoying the tech just blurted it out
