Cervix isn't changing much. It is slightly more thinned out than it was last week. But not any further dilated. I had a really good talk with the midwife today. Explained my trauma surrounding my last two deliveries and told her how I felt bullied into receiving pitocin both times when it was not medically necessary. And that during my second labor I begged for them to turn it off and they refused.
She assured me at this hospital they would not do that. They are very against using pitocin unless mom or baby is in trouble and they need to speed up the process.
She offered to strip my membranes today but I refused. Didn't help with my last baby so I didn't want to repeat the situation again.
Having some noticeable swelling but my blood pressure is totally fine and baby's heart rate is fine and he's still active enough to not be concerned.
I'm having a hard time just waiting for this to happen but I know nothing is gonna make my little man ready to come out til he's ready to come out

Comment from sonata85 » Posted Dec. 21, 2018 10:29pm I’m sorry to hear about your bad pitocin experiences. Pitocin sucks enough to have them refuse to turn it off! I’m glad your midwife is on your side as well as the hospital. He’ll be here soon......looking forward to your birth announcement! | |
