2 weeks postpartum!

The past couple weeks have been kind of a blur lol. The days are very busy with a 4 year old, a 3 year old and a newborn. But honestly, it's not as overwhelming as I thought it might be. It probably helps that I had a smooth delivery, so recovery has been going well.
When I delivered I was still anemic
So I've had to continue taking iron pills, and I've been eating iron rich foods. I'm feeling better now, but still not great. Not sure what the next step is if I'm still anemic? I have a checkup today and so does Dominic, so I'll update later with more info.

I'm still a bit shocked how relatively easy his delivery was. He's the biggest baby I've had by far (7lb 12oz). I used the breathing techniques I learned from listening to my hypnobirthing stuff. It didn't help much during the pushing stage but it helpede stay calm during the rest of labor. The pain really wasn't unbearable for me til I was ready to push. HUGE DIFFERENCE from my last two deliveries.

Hubby is convinced that he wants no more babies. It's more about him not wanting to watch me go through that again than it is about him not actually wanting more kids lol.

I'm only holding onto about 10lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. Not really bleeding much. Mostly just spotting and a gross amount of mucus. Cloth pads have been a lifesaver the last few days because I was getting irritated from the disposable pads and not to mention, they stink so bad lol

My 4 year old has been such a big help! Even though her and her sister have been fighting with each other a lot, they both really love their little brother.

Congrats! I'm glad the delivery went well for you! I give you so much credit for having a 4 year old, 3 year old and newborn. I'm terrified about having a newborn and almost 4 year old, lol.

I'm definitely soaking it all in =) 3 years is a pretty good gap. We'll make a permanent decision about it in the next year or two though. I doubt we'll have any more kids. 3 is good. And I'd have to get a vehicle with a second backseat lol. I'm not ready to have a minivan

I’m so glad to see an update from you and know you’re adjusting well. PP bleeding etc. is no joke lol I had c-sections, and it was still not pleasant. My husband is afraid of our having another child for the exact same reasons. But you’re tough, and it’s probably partly due to your having already given birth twice that you were ready and felt better. I can’t even imagine having a baby that big lol but I want a third, and my mother-in-law said at Christmas that she’s afraid I wouldn’t survive a third pregnancy. Which is stupid. It’s a matter of timing. So if you’re meant to have more maybe after some time you will. But enjoy the baby days!!! :)
