Doctor Update

Miss Valerie already wants to be difficult. She was playing hide and seek at the doctor today and didn't want to let the nurse or the doctor find her heartbeat. And then when they found her, she kept kicking at the doppler. It took about 15 minutes total for them to find her. Apparently she was sitting up higher than usual for this stage of pregnancy. But she gave me a right good scare. While they were prodding around trying to find her heartbeat, I was thinking the worst. But thankfully they found her and her heart sounds good. We go back for our anatomy scan July 13th. Hopefully she's feeling more cooperative then and not like a little rascal.

Comment from Cattsmeow » Posted Jun. 11, 2015 7:00pm I really hope she doesn't do that again. I had both of my sons with me since I couldn't get a sitter, so I was just thinking "If I lost the baby, please take them out of the room before you tell me." Thankfully all is well and she was just sitting higher up than normal for 16 weeks. I know it could still be hard to find, but I'm buying a doppler this weekend, to help ease some of my anxiety. (This pregnancy follows the same timeline as my pregnancy when I lost my firstborn, so it's extra nerve wrecking.) | |
