Is it Monday yet?

I am anxiously waiting for Monday to be here. I have my anatomy scan that afternoon and I am somewhat nervous about it. At this point in my previous pregnancies, I was feeling baby move every day. With this one, I am not. I feel her maybe every other day, and it's always down low or on the sides. I have only felt her 3 times since I pulled the muscle in my side Thursday. No spotting or bleeding, but I am cramping a bit low down in my abdomen. I'm anxious to see Valerie and know that she is doing alright in there.

Thursday morning, I pulled a muscle in my side. My youngest had been screaming pretty much nonstop (thanks, teething!), and the only way he would stop was if I was holding him and walking around the house with him in my arms. I had set him down and he was fine for about 15 minutes before he started screaming again. When I bent down to pick him up, I felt a small pop in my side and then a sharp, burning pain along my right side, down by my pelvic bone, wrapping around to my back, up to my armpit, and down to my knee. I called my doc about an hour after it happened, as the pain was only getting worse and I was having trouble getting around, bending over, and picking up my son. She said as long as there was no bleeding and Valerie was moving as normal, I shouldn't be too worried and didn't need to come in since I have an appointment Monday. I was told to take it easy and not pick up my son unless it was absolutely necessary. But I have been in extreme pain since then. Thursday, my husband came home early to help me out. Yesterday, a friend was over to help me with the kids, but today I'm all alone with them. The muscles in my back have started spasming and siezing up on me, so I'm wondering if I did more than pull a muscle. If it's not better by this evening, I'm going to go to the ER. I just don't know what to do if they put me on a no lifting restriction. I'm a stay at home mom, and the friend who was over yesterday can't be here to help me all the time. All of our family lives over an hour away, and there is no way we can afford for my husband to miss work to be at home to help. We're trying to save his last week of vacation for when the baby is born. Urgh.

Hopefully you've gotten so pain relief. That sounds really rough.
