I have gone weeks without being nauseous, and it hits me again hardcore this morning. Did you know that water has a smell, and said smell is making me want to hurl everywhere? I normally drink a bottle of water when I wake up in the morning. I got a brand new bottle out of the fridge, opened it, went to go take a drink, and ended up running to the bathroom instead. Not awesome at all. I'm managing to keep coffee down and ate some crackers, which seems to be settling well, but I still feel so nasty. Hopefully it eases up soon.

Valerie had a major case of the hiccups last night for over an hour. My husband even got to feel her hiccups. He loved it. I never felt either of my boys hiccup like this, so it's pretty amazing. And as I am typing this, she has the hiccups again. lol. <3

Not really much to say about this last week. I have another ob appointment next Wednesday. I don't know if I'll have my GTT then or at the following one. I think my doctor does them around 26 weeks, but I'm not sure. I don't know if I'll have enough time to sit for an hour for them to do the blood draw and still be home in time to get my oldest off the bus. I have a sitter to watch my youngest, so I guess she should be able to go to the bus stop to get my oldest, but yea. I really want to be there when he gets home from his first day. Blah.

16 weeks or less to go!

My son had hiccups the whole time I was pregnant. It was cute at first ... Lol. Then he had them a lot as a newborn, bless him.

I totally understand that.

I don't really want to get my tubes tied, honestly. I'd rather have him get the old snip snip and have me go on birth control pills. I hate to think negatively but if something happened and I wanted more kids, I don't want to make it hard to do so. Plus birth control pills make my skin amazing and periods so much lighter.

MalPal, I HATE water with a passion, thanks to forced hydration while I was in the military. Nothing like being made to drink 1 quart of water every hour on the hour during basic training. Normally, I spruce up my water with lemons and other fruit, but in the moring I drink just straight water. My stomache was just not having it this morning.

And how to descirbe what hiccups feel like? You know how when the baby kicks, it's like a sharp jab? A hiccup is softer and has multiple soft movements. Valerie's have been spaced out about 5-6 seconds apart and lasts about 3-5 minutes per episode. I don't know if that makes any sense.

pbc, my only recommendation is to think long and hard about it. I was so iffy on it, until we found out we were having a girl. That made up my mind, as we'll have 2 boys and a girl. And I hope my fever comes down. If it doesn't, my husband will have to come home early to take me to the doc. We can't afford anymore time off right now. My sons have both have snotty noses for the past 4 days, but I think it's allergies. They've been doing some tree trimming behind out house and it made their allergies flare.

I have grown to HATE water now. I still drink at least 4+ bottles a day but I dread every minute of it. Hope you feel better soon! I've been more tired but not sick as of yet (knock on wood).

What do the hiccups feel like?

I hear you on that...this is hopefully my first and last pregnancy and I am contemplating getting my tubes tied. I think if my husband didn't have children, we would be open to more but he is finished and I think I will be good having two of my own and raising 3 others.

Hopefully it's not too bad and they can get you in if need be. There seems to be a lot of illness going around many different places. My stepdaughter has been sick but we don't know if it was a cold or allergies. Normally I could care less about getting sick, but I definitely don't want to chance it now!

I started feeling really hot with chills, so I took my temp and I have a fever, so I think I'm just getting sick. I took some Tylenol and will check again in an hour. (It was 102.3). If it hasn't gone down, I'm going to call my doc and see about getting in. There has been a nasty virus going around, and I really hope I have not caught it. I can't afford to pass it to my kids and husband.

I have 16 weeks until I'm 40 weeks along. My doc doesn't think I'll make it past 38, since this pregnancy and my last are so close together, so I probably have less time than that. It just seems to be going by so quickly for me. This is my last baby and I'm getting my tubes tied after she's born, so I've been trying to enjoy it while I can. It just seems to be going by too fast for me to enjoy it much.
