My kids are ganging up on me today!

All 3 of them! Tyler, my oldest, has been up my butt about coloring all day. Brandt, my youngest son, has been eating said crayons, climbing up the Christmas tree, screaming bloody murder when I pull him out of it, hitting his sister with Hot Wheels, and snotting all over everything. Valerie has been screaming nonstop unless I am holding her because her brother will not leave her alone, and every time I get her to sleep and put her down, she wakes up because Brandt starts screaming and/or throws another car at her head. OI!

And speaking of the Christmas tree, I am totally going to set up the pack n play and put the tree INSIDE of it. It won't keep Brandt from pulling the ornaments off of it, but it will keep him fom climbing up it. Our poor tree has definitely seen better days. It's a fake tree, but it looks sickly. lol. It is my husband's tree and he has had it for more than 10 years. It has survived 2 toddlers now, and don't even get me started on the cats. Next year, we're getting a new one. And I have never had a real tree before, so we decided that when Valerie and Brandt get a bit older, we're going to get a real one.

Pumping is still not going well. I have pretty much dried up. I can't get my pumps in during the day at all. Brandt and Valerie keep me on my toes. Tyler is a HUGE help when he gets home from school. He is really good at taking Brandt into the playroom and playing with him while I pump. He also likes to sit on the floor by Valerie's swing and talk to her. I caught him singing to her earlier this morning. It was just a silly song he made up, but it was so adorable. I wish I could have caught it on video. But I digress. Milk output! When I am able to pump, I only get a few drops. It took me 3 days to pump 3oz of breastmilk to give her yesterday. She refuses to accept the breast at all now, even though I still offer it to her. She's got blisters along her top lip due to her lip tie and latch difficulties. She has a difficult time getting a good latch on the bottle even, and we've tried a few different ones now. (We've tried Nuby, Mam, Playtex VentAire, and the Munchkin Latch bottle. We've found she has a better time with the Latch bottle and the Mam.) She has her surgery Thursday (if we can get the insurance fixed by then. >.>), and I am hoping I can keep enough milk flow going until then, so if she will take the breast afterwards, it won't be so hard to re-lactate. I am being so flippy floppy on this whole breastfeeding thing. One minute I want to quit, and the next I want to keep trying. I just want to bang my head against a brick wall, I'm so indecisive.

My husband also surprised me with an early birthday gift Friday. (My birthday is the 9th.) He took me out for dinner at Cracker Barrel while the boys were at kids night at our church, and they had a gorgeous set of stacking coffee cups with an absolutely beautiful peacock design on them. (I LOVE peacocks. Our wedding colors were purple and peacock feathers.) I went to the bathroom before we left and he got them for me. It's not much, but the set is GORGEOUS! I LOVE them. Then on Wednesday, I am making cupcakes to celebrate. Tyler is going to help me make them and he is so excited about it. He loves helping me bake. I think it's because I let him lick the bowl and let him eat some of the cookie dough. lol.

Btw, I am having a Gilmore Girls marathon, and I have to say, Jared Padalecki looks like a BABY! lol. I got so used to seeing him on Supernatural that it is weird to see him on this show. lol.

Anyways, I am done rambling for now.

Sorry about the gang up! A real tree is the only way to go. Yes, they're messy but there is nothing like going down and chopping down your own xmas tree. I don't even have kids yet and it thrills me lol. Sorry about the pumping. Happy early birthday! I just started Gilmore Girls on Netflix too!
