35 Week Update
By mcorinnes » Posted Oct. 15, 2015 2:01pm - 357 views - 5 comments

My doctor put me on Labatelol last week as my BP continued to climb. BP went down a little THIS week with the meds but I am still considered "high blood pressure" since I'm on meds to control it. It was 128/85 at yesterdays appointment. From here forward, I will have a weekly NST to monitor or little girl. We also have an ultrasound next week for her being breach. If she does not turn soon, they will have to attempt a manual manuvuer (fingers crossed that doesn't happen. It can be extremely painful and only has about a 50% success rate... BUT, a c-section will be more painful so it will be worth a try of she won't turn on her own).

My BP prior to pregnancy ran about 104/65 so this increase is drastic :(

If you don't mind my asking, what was your BP before your meds? Mine is 136/90 at last check, and they don't seem concerned at all.
I am glad your meds are helping! Hang in there!

Hopefully the medication will continue to lower your BP. And hopefully baby will flip soon! Mine is still frank breech but at 32w they aren't worried yet. My midwife did talk to me briefly about the ECV though in case we have to go that route.

You're almost there! I know it's a drag to have to deal with all of this but it's good they are monitoring you and her. Hopefully she'll turn, some babies do at the last minute!

Glad the BP medicine is helping some. I hope the manual maneuver works out for you!
