It was Veteran's Day (Nov 11, 2013), the day we found out we were pregnant. I held on long enough that I was difinitively late, two days to be exact. It was 6am when my biological clock woke me up like clockwork. I couldn't stand it anymore, I was anxious. I had DH buy a box of POAS for the morning because I felt uncomfortable all day the day before. As soon as I took the test the line turned so fast, I rubbed my eyes and focused again, is this for real?!? Tears roll down my face of joy. I woke DH up immediately. He couldn't believe it either and had my take the second test to be sure. Both postive!

Today I am 7 weeks and 6 days....I can't believe tomorrow I will be 2 months along. It has been a relatively easy preganacy. I keep thinking that tomorrow will be the day that I'm going to be nauseaus but it never happens. I find microscopic glimpses of it sometime when I'm hungry but that's about it. The biggest issue thsufar has been the lack of energy and motivation. I get tired easily and my stomach is generally uncomfortable. BBs have been sore and I think they are slightly bigger but the most noticable is the bulging gut! I read that your hormones really slow down your digestive system and that has definitely been going on, causing the bloated tummy. I truly look pregnant and none of my pants fit and I'm only 2 months along...smh!

My DH is extremly adament about holding off telling people until the 2nd trimester but we compromised and decided on Christmas Day, which will put me at exactly 11 wks. This year we managed to get his family to travelto us and spend Christmas was my parents. the perfect opportunity to unleash our itching secret. I'm still trying to figure out a creative way to come out. 22 days to think about it.

Our first OB appointment is this Thursday, Dec 5th. We are anxious. My biggest concern is if there is really a baby in there? I know that some people are fortunate enough to not get morning sickness but should I be that lucky? After all this preganacy (if true) is a true miracle.

This year leading up to the BFP has been quite a journey. DH and I have endured tests after test. I started in January and had my progesterone tested, a couple months later I had a biopsy and a dye test (i forget what the medical term is) where they shoot dye into your fallopian tubes and watch it flow through to see if you have clieared tubes. Fortunately, all my tests checked out normal. The reasoning behind my tests was to be proactive because of my age (38). I'm a late beginner but my DH and I just got married last year.

Now that my tests were all done, it was my DH's turn. He was willing to do the SA but was slightly hesitatant because his GP assured him that with his great health that there shouldn't be any problems. Well, when the analysis came back it was not great. Morphology was about 3%, count was high. He was then referred to a urologist which wanted him to do another SA. When we received the analysis, it was a shock for both of us. It was worst than before. 0% morphology and low count. We were then reffered to a Fertility Specialist who pulled us into his office and looked over our results with us. He told us since we has never tried IUI than it would be worth a shot to try it with a Clomid. But he thought that the most effective method for us would be IVF. We shook his hand and was left to think about what we wanted to do.

A week later it was BD time again. We said why not? Little did we know, that we conceived.
