Had my ultrasound today, the techs here don't really say much so I am still waiting to hear from the doctor about how everything went. She didn't even give me an approximate date or the heartrate which is weird, but I did get to see baby moving around a ton in there which made it take her awhile to get the HR measured. Measuring 4.96cm which I think is somewhere mid-late 11 week mark which is fine, baby has always measured 5 days "behind".
I obviously started googling what to look for on u/s as problematic and I probably shouldn't have cause I think my baby's nose is weird, and the face looks really flat to me whereas everyone else has nice rounded heads and good profile. I also see that everyone else has a lot darker of a picture, skull and nose and everything so maybe that's why? I dont know! read something about not seeing the nasal bridge in relation to down's. The tech also left while I peed and took a long time to come back then just let me leave after she got back. Left me wondering what that was all about. I think I am over-analyzing but I can't help it. I will relax after the doctor calls, but for now I am just happy my baby is alive and moving! :)
Let me know if you think anything looks weird on the picture... Just doesnt seem as "clear" as everyone else's!

I feel a lot better now, lol I guess they're just weird looking around 12 weeks. I'm probably around 11wk3d in reality but period has me at 12w1d. |
| Comment from mrsamanda » Posted Feb. 18, 2014 10:54pm My first ultrasounds looked really weird to me too. Just abnormal but I'm not 18 weeks almost and baby is looking much different and normal. Give it time. I'm sure everything is fine. Don't use Dr. Google!! |
