Induction? Yikes!
By JustAcurious1 » Posted Apr. 23, 2012 11:13am - 239 views - 1 comment

So today I am 38 weeks and 5 days. Very tired and lots of pain and discomfort, but not for much longer because tomorrow night I will be getting induced. As long as I have waited for this day I am just so nervous. I have always went into labor naturally but this time baby has gotten way to big, doctor is afraid he wont be able to pass through my pelvic area if we don't hurry up and get him out, and my cervix has not changed since we first found out I was dilated to 2, two weeks ago. Ive heard all the horror stories about how induction takes much longer, the pain is even crazier, and sometimes it just simply doesn't work so a c-section has to be performed. I know all women are different I guess for me its just the fear of the unknown, so I guess I will just have to pray about it, keep your fingers crossed for me! :-)

Thinking of you!!! hoping for a smooth induction for you! I am only 20 weeks but my lil man is measuring ahead and my husband is 6'2" and I am only 5"4' barely.. and very petite. My midwife DID bring up possible induction when it came time or the C word. :/ Right now he is long and skinny so.. fingers crossed he stays that way.. or else I could be in some trouble myself. I have heard that induction does not really hurt more than without the pitocin or what not.. but I have heard the contractions come on faster and stronger which gives the makes them sometimes feel more intense or more painful..but everyone is different. Good luck tomorrow!
