Heartbeat!

Finally got the confirmation yesterday we were waiting for! I was certain everything was progressing just fine, the horrible nausea I've been experiencing the past few weeks was telling me so. But there's nothing like hearing that heartbeat for the first time! As soon as my doc turned the screen on, she said "I think you're going to be happy." We saw a little baby bean with what seemed to be tiny feet buds poking out, moving about. Then she saw the heartbeat and turned on the sound. So it's finally real! And, according to her measurements, yesterday I was 9w3d with a due date of January 29.....EXACTLY what I had calculated from my ovulation! So although she thought at first I wasn't as far along as I thought, turns out I was right. We know our bodies, don't we?? They scheduled my first actual prenatal appointment (the 21st), I'll be about 12 1/2 weeks. I assume they will do the Harmony test at that appointment (they did at my first appointment with my DD at about 11 weeks). I will request to have gender determination included in the results again. It was awesome knowing so early what we were expecting!
Not being able to wait any longer, we made our announcement last night....close friends and family already knew. We did a cute photo collage with our daughter, it turned out so cute!
