I had burnt my tongue earlier this week.. and it didn't seem to be getting better...
-Sunday I was having difficulties with facial movements on my right side.. I thought I had slept on my face funny but I didn't.... It got a bit worse as the day progressed, I wasn't having a stroke because none of the other symptoms of it were there. Just the facial weakness..
-Monday woke up and I just knew there was something wrong so I went to the hospital.. I was there for a total of 6 hours.. After an dozens of questions and an MRI (no contrast because of baby) they diagnosed me with Bell's Palsy...
They prescribed me Prednisone, which is a steroid and lubricant eye drops and recommended an eye patch for when I sleep..
They said I should get better in about a month or even after the baby is born...
This is all really scary and I'm not sure how to really react to having this..
It's a really huge confidence blow not to be able to smile all the way, eating is difficult.. I can't flare my nose and I can barely shut my eye all they way... I can't make a kissy face all the way. it's hard to blink.. Drinking out of bottles and cans is difficult..
I've also been having sharp pains on the top and sides of my belly.. it only happens so often but it hurts pretty badly.. the area of the pain is about the size of a pen or pencil jabbing into me.. Had my ob appointment on October 31st and they said she's head down now.. So so many worries... It's just the 33rd week this week...

I know everything will improve for you soon, I'm thinking the pains you are describing may be round ligament pains. I began experiencing them the same week. Hope you feel better soon!

I really hope I get better soon ~
The sharp pains really hurt and they're only in certain spots. It's really weird. I hope I can feel better or at least relieved soon..

I actually worked with a lady who just woke up one day with one side of her face dropping and had BP.
I can understand your confidence is knocked but luckily its not forever, she said that it got a little easier telling people it's a temporary issue and explaining it and it was always difficult going out in public at first, she hid behind glasses and neckerchief but it did get easier.
But you do what you have to to stay calm and not put yourself in any stress even if that means avoiding mass public outings or going out but looking like Audrey Hepburn.
I've been having the stabs too but I remember them from my first pregnancy and I belive is just ligaments being tested by baby putting on weight so quickly. My worst are this time is on top of my bump and feels like I'm being stabbed, if it gets worse in trying a bump brace.
Stay well hunni, it's not long now x x x
