For the last week my blood readings have been going mad. Always rising up. Nothing ever past 12 but still.
I have a hospital appointment with my mid-wife and doc tomorrow, im hoping to get them to put me on a tab to help me with the diabetes. Im nearly 32 weeks pregnant and the way further along i get the more anxious I become about the birth.
Still don't know what my birth plan as I am a plus size mom to be, i feel like i need guidance from the docs but nothing yet.
I thought they would have gone through this with me already.
Hope all ye ladies are keeping well xo

Comment from stickybean1976 » Posted Mar. 2, 2015 6:37pm Your welcome, perfect dinner for you. I will delivery naturally baby is measuring to the day. I will be induced at around 38-39weeks perhaps. My other daughter was 9 pound and I didn't have GD with her. My hubby is 6ft7 and I'm 5ft8, so where've been told where never gonna have small babies lol. Keep up the good food intake, not long to go . X
Comment from Emz1989 » Posted Mar. 2, 2015 4:37pm Stickybean1976 your like a wealth of knowledge. Thank god i csn talk to you. The nurse took my blood readings two hours after my breakfast this morning and they were 6.5 I was delighted, they have been good all day so hopefully the weekend was just a mess up. Your food for the day sounds yummy. For my dinner tonight i had chicken, one baby potatoe and veg. Went down a treat . Have you been told yet what if you will deliver naturally or by section? Im dreading the thoughts of a section. With my lil man been "big" as they say i just think it will def be a section. Getting excited about seeing him though xx
Comment from stickybean1976 » Posted Mar. 2, 2015 12:56am Oh great I thought they had done nothing for you. Good snacks are cheese and crackers, a piece of fruit but no more than 2 pieces a day. Nuts, anything really. Okay so my food in take today. Breakfast 2x piece of whole grain toast with Vegemite half a glass of milk Lunch I had Thai chicken mushroom soup and some cheese and crackers Dinner I'm having chicken kebabs salad coleslaw and one small potatoe. I am finding I can drink coke zero. You just need to really look at everything with sugar. Bacon and eggs are good any protein food. I have just cut out all junk food ie: White bread chocolate takeaways ice cream biscuits lollies etc and I've been lucky my body had adapted well. Oh and pasta is fine too. Look online for some info. I was given a massive meal plan book by the hospital of foods to eat and not eat.
Comment from Emz1989 » Posted Mar. 1, 2015 11:43pm Hi stickybean1976 Im already after been seen by the specialist and the dietitian. Comment from stickybean1976 » Posted Mar. 1, 2015 10:25pm I'm sorry I don't mean to scare you but you have to get on to this. We were diagnosed with GD weeks ago at 26 weeks. I was immediately sent to the hospital to meet with the specialists. I was then given all the kit booklets needles tabs etc and have to prick my finger 4x a day and record my readings. In the mornings they are not allowed to be over 5.5 that is when you first wake in the mornings. Then 2 hrs after every meal no reading is to be over 7. This is all by diet management. If this is not successful then for the safety of the baby injections 4x a day are then required into your stomache. A reading of 12 is very serious and esoecially if your baby is measuring over sized. For your and the babies safety you must get them to do something. Seriously do not let this go. Message me anytime and I'll try and help & advise you with the GD. Xx |
