It's A....

Went to my elective ultrasound today. I figured out that my placenta, once again, is anterior. That explains why although I can feel movement, it isn't as strong as my last pregnancy. I had anterior with my first pregnancy as well. Kind of sucks to have it on a first pregnancy after so many miscarriages since you can't feel much. But this time around I don't mind as much. Everything looked good. It's a girl! She had a really really hard time getting the baby to move her hand and when we got her to move she would just put it right back before we could see. The tech is pretty confident she's a girl but I thought it looked like a boy the first few glimpses I got. In fact, I never saw anything that looked like a girl. lol There is even a little dot that looks like a ding-dong sticking out but she said it was a part of the umbilical cord. I guess I can double check at my anatomy scan at 20 wks. This was a just for fun ultrasound. Last time they measured the baby wrong (at the elective ultrasound) and it had me worried for a long time when everything was actually fine.... so kind of have a hard time trusting their opinion. Anyway. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yeah, my doctor usually only does 1 and then does another if you go over 40. This time she'll do two because she did one for dating and then she will do one at 20 wks. I like to see what's going on more than twice though. Thank you, Ang. I'm feeling better today. I noticed that it's a toss-up as to whether I will be in a lot of pain or not each day lol. I called my doctor but they can't see me until the 20-something of this month.

Congratulations! My doctor literally only does like 2 ultrasounds the whole time so I always get at least 2 elective ones done but I love my place and they’ve never made me feel doubtful so hopefully your 20 week appointment will provide more clarity lol I can’t wait for my anatomy scan!!

Thanks, girl. :) Elective ultrasounds are nice if you have a doctor that hardly gives you ultrasounds. I usually use another company than I did this time to get them done by this lady who was a professional ultrasound tech for 30 yrs. I trust her more.

Yay!!! Another girl! I'm so excited for you!!! Id definitely wait for confirmation at your 20 week ultrasound, but either way, it's exciting. I've never been to one of those elective places.
