Yesterday as I was sitting in my office after lunch, I started feeling like I cant breathe and I had heart palpatations. Then I felt like passing out. I got freaked out because the idea of fainting scares me so much. I left work early and SO took me to the clinic. We left because after almost 4hours, we still hadnt received help.

Whilst we were there I checked my blood pressure and it was high. My mother has it, so do all her siblings. I have a history of stage 1 hypertension. Its weird, Im 25 and dont party too much and used to be a social smoker, but my health treats me like Ive been a wild party animal since I was 5. Feeling robbed of my care-free youth! Anyway now they've ordered a RFT, Lipid Profile and urinanalysis; waiting on those results.

Things that scare me:
1. My chances for miscarriage are significantly higher.
2. Apparently I can have a stroke?
3. I can develop preeclampsia which is life threatening for me and baby!
4. I dont want to be on meds whilst carrying a child, it will affect him/her in some way I know it will?

Im really scared but Im keeping the faith alive and thinking positive! God will see me through and I will have normal blood pressure. My pregnancy will be easy and I will have a happy and healthy fat chubby cute baby at around my due date.

I'm sure they will figure out what is causing you to feel that way and don't worry about medications during pregnancy. They wouldn't have you take something that is harmful for the baby.
