Wow can't believe our little Randall is already the size of a blueberry! :)

I haven't really been in the mood which is odd for me, normally hubby and I are like rabbits. But I just don't feel 100%. I am sure I will get back in the swing of things soon. ;)

Bloating comes and goes. Felt a little sick, but it seems to be if I don't eat. So I am snacking a lot, really can't eat huge meals without feeling like I could pop the buttons on my pants from the bloat. :) Boobs still sore but I have almost gotten use to it. Oh and probably the "worse" part is my sense of smell. I can smell things I wish I couldn't I commute on the train to and from work and might have to just drive because either everyone in VA stinks or I just have a bloodhound nose. :) LOL!

Other than that I feel totally fine. I told hubby the other day that I will handle and gladly take any pregnancy symptom. After the long road every cramp and B/O smell is worth our little Randall.

Two more weeks until our first appointment. Getting excited about that. I have been looking online for what to expect. Any advice from the moms who have already gone through this? I will be 9 weeks the day we go.

We live near Tappahannock VA about 45 min from Fredericksburg. I hope you I didn't offend you with my VA train comment.

Hahahaha, so funny!! I'm hoping my nausea isn't as bad this time... it was terrible with my son and lasted until my 15th week or so! Mine started at 7 weeks with him. Hoping it stays away this time heeehee. Definitely worth it, though, no matter what!!

My first appointment was at 8 weeks, and it was a transvaginal ultrasound (no full bladder needed!) and an intake with the nurse. They asked a lot of questions about family medical history and then sent me for lab work.

Yay for 7 weeks! You had me laughing about the BO you smell on the train!
My OB office said they normally wait until week 12 to do the US, but they a lot of early ones because of my history. They may also ask if you're taking a prenatal & fish oil & if you're prenatal has 800 mcg of folate. I can't recall the exact number, but I think they sent me for 5 vials of blood, so stay well hydrated. They'll also check your thyroid & for anemia & Rh status. That swag bag is great! Hope your hubby is able to make it to the appointment :D.

Also, my doctor's office has you empty your bladder before getting a transvaginal scan. They will instruct you well before the scan happens anyway lol.

I think all offices are different. My first appointment was different even between my two pregnancies at the same practice! They actually mailed me an extensive questionnaire this time, and called to chat about it, so I could skip the millions of questions in the office. I had to do a urine preg test ahead of time, too. Then, at the actual appt, a breast and pelvic exam with pap smear. We did an in office abdominal U/S for dating (but that's new, didn't get one with Cameron). It was supposed to be a 10wk appt, but my cycle was extra long, and the U/S definitely showed an 8wk baby, no problems seeing it, no need to do transvaginal. Separately, I went to the lab for bloodwork. You'll be fine.
