MFM Appointment

Yea! I'm through for the week! Phew!
So the MFM went well. I got to see Maggie again even though she wouldn't hardly cooperate for the measurments. We had the Nuchal translucency test. The doctor said Maggie looks great and showed no signs of Down Syndrome. We saw a bunch of her organs. Even got to see her feet! (She has HUGE feet for her little body!) I'll be in near constant communication with the MFM office as I have to call every 3 days with my blood sugar readings and I will have appointments there every 2 weeks. But the doctor seemed super nice and she's apparently already on top of things because her office JUST called me and are adding Metformin on top of my 2 insulins I take daily. I'm always nervous taking new medicines, but I will do anything for Maggie!
We've had a rough afternoon though. My oldest step-son's school called me when I was heading home and said that one of his friends had committed suicide last night at 16 years old. I feel so bad for my step-son and for all the boy's family and friends. It's so heartbreaking and all I can do now is give my step-son extra attention and kindness. He's taking it pretty hard understandably.
Anyway...probably won't post again until my next MFM appointment in 2 weeks. Hope you are all doing well!
