Good Appointment

Had my follow up OB appointment. My blood pressure was slightly elevated BUT...I had NO protein in my urine! The ob said that my labs from the hospital showed no problems as well. Not sure what happened, but now they are just saying I have high blood pressure instead of full on preeclampsia. So phew! I am off of bed rest, but was told to “take it easy” and watch my salt intake.
I had my group b strep test done too. They said they won’t call me with the results, but if it’s positive they will treat me at delivery.
And the OB checked my cervix while she was down there. Surprisingly I am 2.5 cm dilated naturally. The doctor was shocked but talked like it should make things a little easier next week—because we are now officially set for induction on September 19th!! I go in on the 18th for another cervical check, then the next day is go day!! I’m so excited! 8 more days and I get to meet this little firecracker in person and give her kisses!! :)
They also measured my uterus. At 36+2 it measured 37.
Overall I’d say it was a good appointment. Thursday I have my final MFM appointment, then I have one last weekend to prepare for meeting my little love!

I am so glad things are looking better and you will be meeting Maggie in 7 days now! It almost makes me cry (tears of joy) to think about you finally getting to meet your little baby. I am so so happy for you! |
