Caroline is Six Months Old

Sorry I’m a week late again but it’s funny how real life takes over once the baby is actually here. I was so nervous about having two children but I’m honestly having the time of my life. Somehow my cranky butt ended up with two of the best kids on the planet. But Miss Caroline did celebrate her half-birthday last Thursday and we had a little rainbow party on Sunday with most of our family. It was a lot of fun. I took some pictures in honor of this milestone myself (it’s the uploaded one) but we have her official ones scheduled for tomorrow and I’m super excited to see her sitting up on set for the first time (and a little sad too, I guess). She is sitting up for long periods, though I still will place pillows about, and has not touched a drop of formula. She has been on rice with cereal for a month (never did help with her sleep) and, as of her party Sunday, has been slowly introduced to three new solids. It sounds like a lot when I’m supposed to be on the lookout for allergies but both bananas and carrots have elicited the same tight-lipped reaction each time they were tried over a period of days, prompting me to toss nearly full containers. We’re on day three of peas though and she’ll at least let the spoon past her lips so I suppose she likes them well enough. Hah! I think I’m going to start making my own food for her from the vegetables we already eat because I had forgotten how expensive feeding a baby something other than breast milk can be! I guess that’s all that’s really noteworthy so far this month.

Oh! There is one more thing that I’m doing that is really helping me bounce back and then some these days. We all know from being pregnant how important vitamins and getting the nutrients our bodies require is for our health and happiness. I have spent over a year doing research and I am 100% convinced that we can cure or just improve everything about our lives with what we ingest. That being said, I urge you to check out AmandaWMcDaniel.Le-Vel.com. Essentially it’s vitamins but the creators spent a great deal of time researching what the human body needed, how much of it and what the best delivery system is. I have been on the three steps for a month and I have more energy, more mental clarity and more appetite control (no more ‘snack-cidents’) than I have had in years. YEARS! Plus, I’m down over ten pounds. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

What a great picture! I tried to introduce one food at a time with my babies but I ended up only sticking with that for a week or so. Good luck with making your own food. I tried it and both my kiddos hated it. :(
