3 Months Old
By blondeone12 » Posted Aug. 10, 2016 12:52pm - 443 views - 3 comments

Tobias is now three months old. I definitely can't call him a newborn anymore. He has grown so much this past month, not just in size but in activities too. He is so much more alert, and loves looking around him. He has been interacting with the hanging toys on his play mat and loves to have something in his hand.
Sleep has been an on and off again thing so far. He will do great one week, and then horrible the next. Not really sure what is going on, so just going with everything right now.
As for me, i am doing OK. I love the weeks he sleeps great, and am a bit weepy the weeks he doesn't. I still have some feelings about not being able to breastfeed and wish that had been something that worked for us, although I know he is doing fine on formula. I am glad i was able to pump for the first month at least.
I am hoping that as time goes on my husband becomes more involved with him. He doesn't seem to know what to do with an infant, and gets frustrated when he can't get him to stop crying or eat. Right now it feels a bit like i am doing everything myself, with an extra income from him. Really hoping that gets better.
I put together some of my favorite pictures from this month.

Thanks for your comments. I hope you are right and as Tobias gets older and more active, my husband will become more involved. Oh, and I am so excited, i am back to wearing my pre-pregnancy pants (although i find maternity pants more comfortable). I feel like a normal person again (although with a bit of a belly still)

Aww he is adorable! Crazy how fast these 3 months have flown by! :) My husband is pretty clueless as well. Even though it's our 2nd baby, I just don't think he's an "infant" kind of person. He holds Madelyn and stuff, but also gets frustrated if he can't get her to stop crying. Same thing with our first born. He was forced to do more when I briefly went back to work when our first was 3 months old. It didn't get better until she was 5 or 6 months and he was able to help feed her solids and she was more active and played with her toys, etc. Your husband will get the hang of it soon! :)

Aww..so cute! Hang in there mama...the sleep thing will kick in and be more consistent. My hubby was the exact same with my daughter but he came around and does so much more now! Your hubby will do the same :) keep us updated!
