Tobias is now 4 months old. We are already 1/3 of the way through the year.
His personality is really starting to come out. He is all smiles. The only time he gets upset is when he is tired, or hungry. Other than that, he is cooing to himself and playing with toys.
He can now sit up unassisted for very short periods of time, then he falls to the side. He is also rolling from stomach to back. Still waiting on the back to front. When placed anywhere he moves all over by lifting his butt off the ground and sliding on the back of his head. No longer a stationary being.
My husband is slowly getting better at being with him. He spent his first 2 hours alone with him last week, and no one was hurt. He doesn't like the fact that sometimes babies will just cry though. He needs feedback that what he is doing is correct, and doesn't like it when i say there isn't always a correct answer. But we are getting there.
We took our first hike at a national park this month and he was amazed. He was so enthralled by all the trees and the rocks. It was great to see. Working our way up to being able to go camping again.
I can't wait to see how much he weighs at his doctors appointment next week and get all checked out.
As for me, things have been going good. I still cry very easily, but never really feel down or anything. I recently had a scare with my left nipple sinking in and went to the doctor. Saw a specialist today and they think it is caused partially from my weight loss after birth, and partially from the trauma i had with breastfeeding (horrible cracking and bleeding). I go back in 3 months to make sure it is not getting worse.
Still a bit sleep deprived, hopefully that gets better soon. Some weeks he sleeps great, and other weeks it is horrible.
Still working on weight loss as well. Have stalled this month, but have not gained any back. I just need to get over this hurdle now and continue on.
