36w4d OB appt ~ June 8, 2012

I officially turned in my birth plan/goals today with the OB. My BP is still good 104/72, HR 94. I've gained 3 lbs. in a week though - probably b/c I've been craving popsicles and eating boxes at a time (ha!). FH = 38, still measuring 2 wks larger but the OB said that was fine. Baby's HB is at 144, so looking great.

My iron has come up to 11.9, so they said I can take only 1 pill a day now. The Group-B Strep test came back negative. YAY!

I've been having these AWFUL pressure attacks. It started as Round Ligament "attacks" on Friday and transitioned into pressure "attacks" on Sunday which have not let up. It's not contractions b/c they are lasting too long, even though they are coming at specific intervals with a definite duration. I've basically been on bed-rest since Saturday - which mind you is BORING and miserable! I can handle pain but I must say ... some of these hurt so bad it made my knees weak. I think the duration is what got me. The RL attacks lasted 40 min w/only a 20 min break in between. The pressure attacks are also 20 min apart but last 10 min and are more intense than the RL attacks. Yes, no sleep for me!

So b/c of that, the OB checked my cervix. She was suprised to find the baby's head lower than my cervix! Apparently, my cervix is near my tailbone and will move forward during labor. But, baby's head is lower and she had to move her head out of the way in order to check me. She did say that I am 50% effaced now and baby is head-down at -1 station. So, I'm taking that as good news and also as an explaination to these apparently "normal" pressure attacks.

Ugh, so ready to get this finished. Next OB appt is in one week!
