This is my first baby, and a very long awaited baby, so of course I'm a little on edge about everything! Lol So far eveything seems ok! We had a scan at 7 wks 6 days and seen a little heartbeat. They did all my blood work last week and they called me today. They asked me if I had a Rogam shot recently or a blood transfusion. Which I said no. I asked if I should be concerned and they told me no, we just need to retest in 6 wks. Something about antibodies showing up on the test? Is there anyone that can shed some light?

Comment from Angela18 » Posted Jun. 1, 2017 8:55pm Yes, so it has to do with your blood type, meaning you are RH-negative and if you start spotting, miscarrying they want to give you a shot, then again around 28 weeks I think, and then again at birth if the baby has a different blood type. If they don't, then your antibodies could attack future pregnancies (something along those lines). As long as they give you the shots your fine. Congratulations on your pregnancy! |
