Had a bit of a scare today.....

Im 28 wks this week, and this whole pregnancy is just flying by. Over the weekend I was having some sever back pain and pressure downstairs. After some rest, It kind of got better. After going back to work Monday, it started back again. Today I couldn't even bend over. So I went to the ER. They found out that I was dehydrated. I guess there were a few minor contractions, but nothing serious. I guess the dehydration can cause this. What was scary is they decided to check my cervix. The nurse said the outer part of my cervix was dilated to 2, but the inside part is apparently closed? I have no idea what this means. I have an appointment tomorrow and will follow up with the Dr. and ask more questions! Trying to drink more and get myself completely hydrated.

Comment from Starmama14 » Posted Oct. 11, 2017 5:22pm How scary! Dakota is right though...just keep drinking. I know some days it's the last thing you want to do but you can get dehydrated so easily when you're pregnant! Let us know how everything is going today! | |
Comment from dakotagurrl » Posted Oct. 11, 2017 3:10pm Stay hydrated! Drink water or gatorade like its going out of style. On top of what u experienced, dehydration will also cause ur bood pressure to drop and it can affect amniotic fluid levels. Drink, Drink, Drink!! Take care, girl! Update on how ur appt went. =)) |
