99 Days to go....
By RPope84 » Posted Apr. 12, 2018 1:19pm - 261 views - 8 comments

Well, roughly about 99 days anyways. Just thought I'd pop in to write a quick little journal since it's been so long. I'll be 26 weeks tomorrow, and honestly this pregnancy is just flying by. Our little man is making his presence known more and more every day. He still likes to stay right at my belly button, even though he's got several more inches above it to stretch out. I think he stays head down now because he was that way at our 24 week scan, and I haven't felt anything that resembled a total somersault. Plus, when I feel him pounding around on my lady bits, it definitely feels like a head, and his hardest kicks are always in my upper stomach area. I feel him at different times throughout the day now, and I just love it. He's awake a lot during the day, has one last dance party right when I lay down for bed, then he goes to sleep, doesn't wake me up in the night, and when I wake up in the morning, he doesn't like to wake up till about 8 or 9. Fingers crossed that we can hold on to some of that routine once he's born LOL.

We've decided that his name will be Chase Michael. My dad's name is Michael and my brother's middle name is Michael, so they're both beaming with pride. In all honesty, Chad just liked the way it sounded with Chase, but we're not going to burst their bubbles lol. I will be doing my glucose challenge at my next appointment in 2 weeks, and that will also be the beginning of my third trimester. I can't believe we're already here. I'm not ready at all. Chad did get Chase's room painted and the crib put together, but we haven't done anything else. I guess we're just waiting for the shower so we don't go buy a bunch of stuff and end up with duplicates.

On a side note, I am sorry I've been quite on here lately, not only on my own updates, but commenting on my friend's. I'm on here everyday, and I keep up with everyone, but my work is absolutely crazy, and I don't want to be on my phone too much, so I just read and close. I'm so glad to see so many of my friends having happy and healthy pregnancies! I honestly count myself as one of the tremendously lucky ones. Pregnancy has been very easy for me. I'm swelling a bit now and I have tendonitis in my right wrist due to pregnancy, but overall, I have it very good. Even if I was suffering though, I'd still be grateful that this is finally happening to me and my husband. He is beyond excited, and I get so much satisfaction out of watching his happiness. We just can't wait for this little boy to arrive...but not TOO soon!! Keep the updates coming everyone!!

So glad everything is going well for u! I always found the first 20wks to be the slowest, then it just flies by til just past 30wks, then it crawls again. Rest up and enjoy!! =))

Good luck with the glucose challenge...I love the drink they give us. Not sure if it's the same there, but ours is like orange crush. Yumm!

Woohoo! I have 96 days to go! It'll be even more exciting once we reach the two digit numbers.

Yay an update! I’m so glad things are going so well <3 isn’t it crazy how quickly the second trimester goes by?! It’s like you blink and suddenly your 30 weeks pregnant and the baby is huge and you’re huge and you can’t wait for it to be over ha! Robby and I literally had nothing prepared for Bear either which ended up being ok anyway since his hospital stay was so long and even to this day he’s been perfectly content with his unmatching nursery furniture and lack of decorations lol good luck on your glucose test! I’m sure you’ll do great :)
