I'm a slacker...I know

Hey ladies!!

We're at 30 weeks today. Holy shit. I think I freak a little more every time I say that.
Meatball is the size of a Platypus, minus the tail. He's constantly moving and grooving...to the point I get a little queasy. He's most definitely running out of room.
We had our baby shower on March 10th and it was awesome! Exhausting, but awesome. My in-laws came in from PA and I'm so thankful they did. I love spending time with his family. They're absolutely wonderful.
Meatball's nursery is just about done. I ordered a few more essential pieces last night after putting the God-forsaken Pack N Play together. Seriously. Their instructions suck and I'm never taking it apart because I refuse to put it together a second time. -_-
We are keeping a close eye on my BP. I went in for a NST two weeks ago because I was in physical pain from high BP. I had trace amounts of protein as well. The NST came back great. No sign of pre-e but I did have a UTI. I'm also metering for GD instead of drinking the drink. My fasting numbers are high (hovers around 100) but my post meal numbers are perfect (steady in the one teens). Not at all sure what that means but we'll find out on Friday I guess.
I did officially quit my job come the end of May. I've verbally told my boss twice but he kept telling people I was coming back so I finally had enough and wrote an official resignation letter and handed it to him. "I never saw this coming"....cue eye roll. I have less than 50 days to train a replacement that hasn't even been picked yet. I've asked for a replacement since November. I'm at the point of not caring anymore. I'm too sleepy for this. lol
Pumba and I went to Babies R Us to get some of the important stuff from our registry with out completion coupon and I almost died laughing. He wanted to look at baby clothes because they had Carter brand 50% off. I swear to you, things were being hurled through the air and into the cart faster than I could blink. He damn near picked everything. I just watched and laughed. I taught him to guesstimate how big meatball would be when he'd wear said outfit and now he thinks he's a fucking expert. Gotta love the guy <3
His diabetes are doing really well. His numbers look great and he's feeling so much better.
Other than that, we've just been chugging along. I'm ready for May. I'm uncomfortable, my diaphragm is killing me but I really just want to see my little man.
We are starting to pack the hospital bags and despite all the lists on the internet, I still feel lost, so any advice from veteran moms about what is most useful is greatly appreciated!!

I hope everyone is doing well! XOXOX

P.S. I uploaded some new pictures from the shower and of the nursery to show off

Seriously... I stressed so much about that dumb hospital bag. And as it turned out, ALL I needed were thigs for me and an outfit for the baby. The hospital provides diapers, wipes, ready to go bottles with formula, and everything else. If you need anything you can just ask them. They even have electric breast pumps. Bring your own if you prefer and are planning to breastfeed. I always make sure they get my colostrum, but after that I always struggle with actual feedings. lol. This is at my hospital anyway. They provide Johnson's lotion and head to toe baby wash. I just bring clothes for baby, shampoo, makeup for me, everything I will need and just clothes and car seat for baby. :) GLAD TO SEE AN UPDATE!! <3

House coat, slippers, lose granny underwear, lose/comfortable bottoms, phone charger and toothbrush I'd say are the main things that I can remember being thankful for. Wish I had wine too, lol.

Thank you!!!! I'm already anticipating a 3 day stay since they said that was about average for a vaginal delivery at our hospital.

My biggest advice would to just bring extra! You just never know if you may be in for an extra day or in my case an extra week. Extra clothes, bring slippers cause I was soooooo swollen! A hair dryer! Cause they didn't have one! Unless you want to wear the diapers they provide, I'd suggest to bring extra pads! Snacks for the Hubby!lol
