40 Days. What. the. hell.

I'm not ready. I'm SO not ready. Ah!
I think I'm freaking out mostly because my gut feeling says that he will NOT wait until his due date. He's so low and definitely engaged. I can't go grocery shopping anymore because I feel like he's going to fall out and it hurts so much to walk that much.
I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore though. I don't even know what sleep is at this point. I'm pretty sure I have SPD. The scary thing I've been experiencing more and more every day are "palpitations" of sorts. I could be laying on my left, my right, slightly reclined in a recliner, walking, sitting, you name it- and it feels like an elephant is on my chest making it hard to get a full breath in. It'll last for a few minutes and then go away for a bit. It's incredibly uncomfortable and annoying. I do plan to mention it to my midwife next week since it's getting worse.
The swelling has started too. It doesn't matter if my feet are propped up or not....I end up with elephant trunks for ankles. I miss my ankles. lol
Otherwise, Chance is doing well. He's measuring a week and a half ahead according to our growth scan last week. At 33+1, he weighed just over 5lbs. Everything looks great with him and that's a huge relief.
I'm ready to meet my little man but I'm so freaking terrified it's ridiculous.
I did order an amazingly cute book for Pumba to read to Chance, it's called "Made for Me". Seriously, if you've never heard of it, look it up. It's so cute I cried and Pumba LOVED it.
The nursery is officially done, car seat bases are installed, Chance's diaper bag is packed for the hospital but we're still working on ours. We're ready, physically...just not mentally.
I'm betting that he'll try to Chuck Norris his way into the world about a week to two weeks early.
We'll find out if I'm dilated and effaced in two weeks (I think that's what she said anyway)

My little bear was also just over 5lbs when he was born so you’ve got a good sized baby in there :) hang in there! Trust me you’d way rather little chance go full term than come early and have to have a NICU stay it’s no fun lol He’ll be here before you know it :) |
