Second ultrasound was good, but I am still worrying
By Clyos17 » Posted Oct. 22, 2017 4:09am - 511 views - 2 comments

I had a second ultrasound this thursday at 6w6d. It was an abdominal one and I had to hold my breath several time for the doctor to be able to see the heartbeat. That was worrying me since it took some time for dr to see the heartbeat. The heartbeat also came and went away, maybe because I couldn't hold my breath for long or because the baby was in a curled up position. The doctor was totally happy but and said everything was perfect, the baby had grown as it should and had a beating heart. This should have made me happy and calm, but I am still so afraid that something is wrong. I constantly find myself worrying that the baby has died. Next scan is in two weeks. It is torture to wait that long.

Congrats on a good u/s! I was just reading your profile and see you have immune issues. Me too. I swear our kitchen cabinet looked like a pharmacy when I was pregnant :) I had 5 losses before my daughter and one in between my daughter and son. I totally understand the stress in between ultrasounds. Hang in there!!!
