What I learned at my appointment:
1) My morning sickness has just started and probably has not peaked yet. UGH.
2) I could have low vitamin D problems
3) Slim chance I might have Lyme disease
4) Most important thing to do now is sleep and drink lots of water
5) I should bring all my vitamins and supplements in to my next appointment
6) Next appointment is on the 12th day of Christmas!
7) Eat easy things
8) I can get IV fluids at the birth center if needed
9) I'm going to have a mammogram at my next appointment, but breasts should be less sore by then
10) 20 weeks will be my first ultrasound
11) I need to find out when my insurance year starts
12) My midwife also sees one of my employees
13) I should ask her and make a plan for what happens if I need an emergency c-section and are transferred to a hospital
14) Karen gave me a big "Mommy Manual" notebook to use during pregnancy

I have never heard of waiting until 20 weeks to do the first ultrasound, usually they do one around 8-10 weeks to date the pregnancy and make sure everything is on track.
