May 19th Wellspring Baby Shower

Update! The electric pole to the church (also where my parents live as they are pastors) collapsed. There is no power for the baby shower. I'm gonna hafta ferry coolers of ice to the site to keep the food cold. Haha. The sherbet punch is gonna be a melted mess. The Fellowship Hall is in a daylight basement. It's gonna be a bit dark with no electricity and no air conditioning. It's supposed to rain today off and on with more thunderstorms.:cold_sweat:

So, the baby shower was a lot of extra work. I had to buy led battery lamps and do a lot of the food prep, decorating and cleanup as some of my helpers couldn't make it. I'm hurting all over from so much time on my feet. But a decent crowd showed up and we had a great time! About half the food got eaten. The games went over well. Got some good pics. And saw some lovely friends I missed very much as I hadn't seen them in while.
I feel extremely blessed by all of the fun and generous ladies in my life. And my heart goes out to the ones who didn't show up because they stayed up all night fighting the flooding in their homes. Also, the power company against all odds worked all day and late tonight putting in new poles (two went down). The power just came back on at the church/parents house. Hooray!
