Ultrasound

Today I had my first Ultrasound, it is quite early to be doing it though, I knew there wouldn't be much to see yet. The tech was very forthcoming with me and told me he saw the endometrium thickening, he could see gestational sac but it was very tiny and he was unable to see the embryo, but that was to be expected so early. It is also too soon for a heartbeat. He said he would do his report and recommend checking bcg to make sure all is progressing well and repeat bw in about 10 days. I am actually happy about that because next time I will see the heartbeat!

I am going to be heavily monitored for this pregnancy, I have suffered 2 losses and I am high risk, I am 41. First loss 22.5 weeks stillbirth due to cervical incompetency. Baby was fine but I just started to dilate and before I knew it, it was all over. Second was an early miscarriage, I started bleeding at 7 weeks but the pregnancy aborted some time before then. I have no children, and I really want to be a Mom! Now that I know these potential problems we can be better prepared to support this pregnancy!
