03/12. Part 2 of.....MAAAANY!

We went for our 20 week scan last week and found out what we were having. I had always felt that i was having a wee boy. Whenever we looked at baby clothes it was always boys stuff i was drawn too, and from speaking to friends (and a few random strangers) it seemed i had the same symptoms as they did when they were expecting boys. The only names i could think of and commit to were boys names. We went to the scan and the sonographer said we were having a girl. I wasn't gutted or upset. i was happy. it meant nail varnish, shoes and handbags and make up galore! and cos i have several neices already i have experience with girls. so the clothes we have are great as are the nappies we bought. All suitable for girls! At 17+5 i first felt my baby daughter move. and she hasn't bloody stopped yet! lol she seems to have a love for sitting or lying on my sciatic nerve, making my leg collapse meaning i hit the deck like a sack of spuds!!! but like a good lass she is she does move when mummy asks her to. It seems she likes first thing in the morning and in the evening. She probably likes the evening more as daddy is home and daddy talks and laughs so she wriggles about and kicks more. We've started reading a book to her. We've started reading Harry Potter and the philosophers stone. There's more of a reaction when daddy reads than when i do. But i know that she can hear his voice better than mine as his is a lot deeper. In this book Professor McGonagall is irish cos daddy can't do a scottish accent for love nor money and everyone else is just northern! it makes me laugh no end listening to Neil try several different accents for McGonagall which range from indian to irish and we settle on irish cos if we don't the book'll never get finished!

I havn't really had cravings. I seem to have more of an appetite with preferences towards foods. It started off with not being able to eat Beef, pork or lamb. it was chicken or vegetarian food. and now it seems like the chicken is out the window and the vegerarian quarter pounders that i lived off with cheesy spaghetti is now a no go. oh and apparently i like cheese bacon and copious amounts of ketchup on my bacon butty...but i don't actually like the taste of the bacon....so i'm gonna live off hard boiled sweets and crunchy nut corn flakes!!! lol i really hope the old adage of you are what you eat is NOT true!
