Diabetes getting worse

It's already been a pain having gestational diabetes but I've had great numbers so far. Then as soon as I hit 26wks I had my first sugar spike every reading since then has been at my maximum. I went to the doctor today and thankfully they didn't put me on medicine. They gave me hope that I could still control it with diet. Came home feeling hopefully and determined to be successful with my diet modifications even though I'm craving chocolate cake. I took my fasting blood sugar and it's already higher than my goal for fasting blood sugar. Feeling kinda bummed now. I'm going to eat and hope my 2 hour reading is within my goal range. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how these next two weeks go and the next few months. Hang on baby girl, we are almost there! One more trimester!
