Two more weeks!

Until the NT scan, that is.

I have my first appointment with my doctor next week (for first appointments, my clinic sets pregnant women up with a nurse). That appointment is generally exciting because that's when the doctor tries to find the heartbeat with a doppler, but I've been listening to the heartbeat for two weeks at home already, so much less exciting to think I'm going to pee in a cup and have my blood pressure checked.

And Thursday in two weeks I will finally have my first ultrasound. It feels like I've been waiting for this forever already. Although some part of me is terrified and really doesn't want to go.

I've gained one more pound, which brings me to 3 pounds. It's the first time that I gain so little weight in my first tri. Obviously there's still a couple of weeks to go so it could change, but still. Chances are I will NOT be gaining 10 pounds in the first 14 weeks, which is nice. (While I'm at it, what the hell is with this website weight chart pink range thing? With my son it made me look like I was gaining waaaaay too much weight when I ended up gaining just 35lbs, which is still the recommended range...)

It will be nice when fatigues subsides though. It's odd how one pregnancy can be so different from another. The first time I was pregnant, I wasn't fatigued all that much. I found the energy to train for two half-marathons I ran around 14 weeks. The last time and this time, I can't fathom how I ever did that. Two weeks ago I went for a run and spent the rest of the day feeling like I had not slept at all that night....
