Lesson of the week: be careful when throwing away your pregnancy tests

I thought I should tell this story here...

Our city has composting, and this means the trash can in the bathroom takes forever to get full because tissues, which forms the major part of what we throw away while in the bathroom, can be composted. We used to change the bag in that specific trash can once a month, but now that I don't get a monthly period, it takes looooong time to fill up.

So I don't know when the last time was that we changed that bag, but we did last week. Then we took the trash out, they were picked up.... and when, over the weekend, my boyfriend went outside to put up our Christmas lights, our neighbour asked him if I was pregnant!

Completely taken aback, my boyfriend said no. Neighbour asked: "Are you sure? Because there's a pregnancy test at the end of your driveway. Looks like it fell out of somebody's trash. I'm just saying.... it's in YOUR driveway!"

I thought it was hilarious. However, I do wonder how the neighbour figured it out, because my pregnancy tests are those small dip strips that say "HCG" on the tip. You would have to take a very close look to figure out what it is....
