My Baby's Birthday!
After spending all night with contractions on the 6th, on the 7th we went in and found I was only 2cm dilated and was sent home. Laboured there all day and at 8PM went back... 10cm, boom! and had a water-birth.

Went Into Labour

Packed for the Hospital/Birth Center
With a gift of footies from my DH, the labour bag(s) are packed and ready to go. I've managed to keep it down to two bags + a carseat. 19 days left until the due date!

Got date wrong for midwife appointment, thankfully they were able to schedule me in for today. Still, it was a mad dash to catch the bus both there and back, but all the same it was worth it. Everything is good and FHR is 140bpm

First Ultrasound
I was off by two days, so sue me. Long story short, our new estimated due date is the 12th of January 2015, instead of the 14th like I calculated it as being. The kid looks as though it's going to take after me with long arms and legs and very little in the way of torso.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Announced to my side of the family via Skype on the 4th of July (US Independence day - anyone noticing a trend here? Let's hope the Sprout doesn't try to be a Christmas baby. eek). Everyone, of course, is excited and I talked with people for the better part of 3 hours. On July 3, 2014 at 12 weeks 1 day pregnant
Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
Rather, told the person I've been on-and-off working with, as it's a rather informal online tutoring job. :)

First Prenatal Appointment
It was about a half-hour longer than my husband expected it would be (to be fair, had they actually sent us the welcome packet before hand the information inside implied that they should have, we would have been much better informed going in... grumble, grumble), but anyway:
They took my height, weight, blood pressure and urine sample again PLUS they drew some blood for tests, had me do a breathing test and took down as much medical history information I could find.

Bought Baby's First Outfit
I got some money from a side-job that I've been doing off-and-on and decided to go shopping online for some basics. They haven't arrived yet, but I've ordered some bibs (5), plain white onesies (14), sleep suits (6) and a unisex take-home outfit.

Told Husband/Partner
He was waiting right there when I was taking the test. As soon as it was confirmed, we stood in the living room bouncing up and down with glee.Now we just need to think of a nickname to call the baby when we talk about it.

Told Parents About Pregnancy
Phoned up my mother and gave her the news: Her Mother's Day gift would be 8-months late. :D
