On September 15, 2020 at 10 weeks 6 days pregnant
Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Late last night, full bladder and sitting in the perfect position, I felt the little flutter I know so well! I felt it this early with Phoebe too. It's such a relief to know baby is alive and well.

Bought baby's first outfit
I love Kickee Pants brand, but it's so expensive. I finally ordered her/his first outfit today though. Love the bamboo fabric! It's a coverall in a twilight blue.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Had some spotting so when I went for my intake appt, my OB took a quick peek to make sure baby was still good. She/he had a hb of 185 and was nice and growing! I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was glorious! I have a small subchioric bleed which was causing the spotting, but that should resolve.

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
I told her about the pregnancy by prefacing it with a sentence that made her afraid I was going to quit - then she was just relieved it was just another baby! haha

On August 26, 2020 at 8 weeks 0 days pregnant
First Ultrasound
We were so relieved that we saw the flutter of a heartbeat the minute the baby came on the screen. I ovulated from the right ovary. She has a hb of 155, and strong and regular. You can see the yolk sac and the amnion still. But little arm and leg buds. So cute! Measured a little small at 7w3days, but so was Phoebe at that age and she came out fine.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
After we saw the heartbeat, we felt secure enough to tell our kids. Mixed reactions. Some were happy, like Cassie, but the boys were all, "Don't you have enough kids?" lol.

On July 27, 2020 at 3 weeks 5 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
I told Monte that I didn't like the smell of the carpet cleaner he was using, and he said he couldn't even smell it - then joked around and asked me if I'd taken a pregnancy test lately. I wasn't due for my period for two days so I thought nothing of it. Then at dinner, I snapped at Austin, and my littlest stepson Lucas asked me, "What are you pregnant or something?" - This made me pause. I took Phoebe in the bathroom to take a after dinner bath, and went ahead and took a test. Two thick bold lines showed up immediately. My family knew before I did.

On July 27, 2020 at 3 weeks 5 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
After my bath, I put the baby to bed and told Monte right afterwards that Lucas was right - we then proceeded to freak out for the rest of the night, wondering how on earth we could do this again!
