Husband Felt Baby Move for the First
After about a week of me feeling little flutters, my husband was able to feel some movement. It took me sitting really still and him push in pretty firmly, but he felt it. It was great to see his face light up!

Found Out Baby's Gender
Found out we're expecting a little girl! Even though my gut was telling me it was a girl, it was still a bit of a shock to the system to find out for sure! The ultrasound tech was looking around and I saw before she even said anything that it was a girl. We'll get confirmation at my 20 week scan in a few weeks.On December 6, 2012 at 16 weeks 5 days pregnant
Picked a Name
We already had a boy and a girl name picked out when we started trying, so we just needed to know the gender to confirm our little one's identity. We're not sharing our girl's name outside of family and close friends, but we've got it all picked out!

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I wasn't sure what I was feeling was her movement, so we got out our home fetal doppler to see if we could hear anything. While we were listening to the heartbeat, I could feel and hear swooshes simultaneously so I'm confident it was our little girl moving around!

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
I wanted to tell her before we closed for Thanksgiving, so I asked her if I could talk to her privately. We sat down in the conference room and she looked terrified! I told her I'd need to be taking some time off next May...because I'll be having a baby. She was thrilled!

Announced Pregnancy to My Family
Went up to visit my family out-of-state and got everyone together for breakfast. I had asked my husband to be the one to share the news, and every time he tried people kept talking over him! He finally just kept going with what he was saying and everyone had to stop and replay what he said before it sunk in. It was a pretty funny moment!

Second Ultrasound/NT Scan
Our ultrasound tech was hoping to get a good profile shot but our little bean was feeling a bit shy. He/she was facing my spine so they couldn't get a very good image. Even though it isn't very clear, it definitely shows how much our little one has changed since his/her last picture! All the NT Scan results came back normal! So happy our little one is healthy!

Announced Pregnancy to Husband's Family
We invited my husband's parents and sister over for brunch and to view our pictures from the vacation we all took together in September. Since we found out we're expecting while on that vacation, we thought the slideshow would be a fun way to tell them. The very last slide was our ultrasound pic and our due date. They were thrilled!

First Prenatal Appointment
Confirmation of pregnancy appointment at 7w5d. Got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time (156 bpm) and got our first ultrasound photo :) On October 4, 2012 at 7 weeks 5 days pregnant
Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
When the ultrasound tech found it, it only beat for about two seconds then stopped. My DH and I were like, "Oh my gosh what's wrong?!?!" Tech reassured us the baby had moved and was able to find it again. That was our first official freak out as parents :)

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Woke up and had to pee at 3 AM. I decided to test since I guess that would be FMU. Got a faint line almost right away! Woke up DH and of course neither of us could go back to sleep after. Word to the wise, don't take a HPT in the middle of the night!
