On September 9, 2013 at 39 weeks 2 days pregnant
Started Maternity Leave
My husband and I had talked last weekend that maybe it'd be a good idea to take the week off of my due date. I was starting to get uncomfortable towards the end of the workday and the stress of my job, it was getting to be too much and my husband was concerned. He told me it'd be good for me to be home and relax before the baby came. It also helped me know when I needed to get all my work done for my coworkers instead of guessing. It's been great :)

Dialted!!
Went in for our weekly dr. appointment and when the doctor checked me, he said the head is sitting very low and I'm 2 cm dialated! I go back in a week and he will see if I've progressed and possibly set a date to be induced if we choose to go that route!

Packed for the Hospital/Birth Center
I do a little here and there. Pretty much everything is packed, just need to pack my daily toiletries on the day of and J.T. needs to throw in an outfit.

Finished the Nursery
JT and I worked on the finishing touches and then he sat in the glider and took it all in, pretty sweet.

Installed Car Seat
Well...JT installed it but we both know it's not correct. We will have someone check it for us and I know the hospital checks them before we can leave.

Baby Dropped
Not sure exactly when it happened but my coworkers noticed that I was carrying low and I felt like I could breathe easier.

Started Childbirth Classes
JT and I went to a breastfeeding class and took an online class that dealt with childbirth.

Baby Shower
Had my first shower on June 30th that was hosted by my aunts on my mom side. Had my 2nd shower on July 13th by my dad's family and had my 3rd shower on July 27th hosted by my friends, truly blesse!!

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
Jt and I were laying in bed and he wrapped his arms around me and then she kicked and he was so excited! He couldn't believe it and he kept saying it was so cool.

Bought Baby's First Outfit

20 Week Ultrasound!
Everything went great!! The baby is measuring one week ahead of what I'm at, a big healthy baby. Definitely feel relieved. Took the pictures in the sealed envelope to Alice so she can make our cupcakes...can't wait to find out tonight!!

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
JT and I went on our babymoon and I got a bunch of nice clothes at the Motherhood store. I enjoy my bellyband but it's kind of nice to have jeans I don't have to worry about if the zipper is showing. I wore the new pair of jeans and a top and it was all very comfortable! I also bought some leggings, tops, jeans, a maxi dress, and a maxi skirt...getting excited!

Painted the Nursery
Barb and Margaret painted our nursery for us while we were on our babymoon, came back to a card on the counter that said the paint job was their gift to us and the baby!! The paint looks great, can't wait to fill it up!

Baby Shopping!
JT and I went on our first shopping trip for the baby! We also bought all of the nursery furniture, we were able to bring a few items home...can't wait to get them put together!

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I think I did...so hard to tell! I was told it may feel like flutters or popcorn popping. I felt like a little pop but it could have been in my head.

Bellyband Time!
Lots of my friends told me to buy the bellyband, that they really help for that awkward time when your parents won't zip but fit everywhere else until you have to get maternity pants. Wore it for the first time today, kind of strange to have "layers" on and a pain when I had to use the bathroom. Just to make sure everything was in place! Going baby shopping with the hubby next weekend, I think it may be time to get some pants just to get me through until summer hits, then it's maxi skirts and dresses all summer long!

15 Week Check Up
Went in for my 15 week check up, heard the baby's heartbeat, went down a little but Dr. said everything sounds good! We even heard the bebe kick, can't wait to start feeling those!

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
With one of my coworkers leaving unexpectantly, we were left short staffed. When this happened last time, I had to help pick up and that ended up with me working more hours so I felt I needed to talk to my boss about compensation and just with me being exhausted/not feeling the best all the time. I wanted to see if he'd let me take my comp. hours and apply them in September for maternity leave. He was happy for us and told me to relax and take it easy and not sweat it. Typical man... :)

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Sooo excited! Took us 8 months to conceive our first but unfortunately had a miscarriage. So 3 months later, here is a BFP, and couldn't be happier but yet a little nervous too. On January 7, 2013 at 4 weeks 2 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
Husband came home for lunch (I had just taken the test to see a BFP) and of course he had the "Monday Blues" and I told him I knew something that would put him in a better mood...lots of hugs!

Just told my mom and dad. We're going to wait to tell Josh's parents a little later.
