Announced Pregnancy to Family
Started telling family and friends that I am expecting. I didn't want to get hopes up just in-case it was a false alarm. I told my mom first and showed her the ultrasound picture of her grandchild. She lit up; and all I felt was relief. As long as she approves then everybody else's opinion doesn't matter.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Today is ultrasound #2. A little nervous to see what was going on, I even brought my ex-boyfriend (the father of the baby) with me for support. But today gave me a bit of a shock. I saw my baby; an actual baby. Moving and kicking and doing acrobats. Can you say a happy moment?? Absolutely. Everything feels so real now. I even heard the little heartbeat, it was really fast and distorted. The distortion was from the baby moving around so much. The fast pace (152 bpm) I was told is normal. 15w1d.

First Ultrasound
Had my first ultrasound today. And it was, at most, very disappointing. I was expecting to see some form of life growing inside of me. What did I get instead...a 3 cm blob. The nurse told me it might not be a baby at all... just a blighted ovum.

Told Husband/Partner
The first person I told was Nelson, my boyfriend. We had a serious moment of silence because we are both confused about the entire situation. Maybe it'll all work out.
