On December 14, 2013 at 4 weeks 4 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Family
We told my parents (The Adam's) we were expecting baby #2! I asked mom what they planned on doing for the Summer family vacation this year and she said they were moving to an entirely different state! I told her she should come and visit us in August since they were going to be so much closer. =) Mom than said that we were the one's who needed to come and see them, haha! I responded with, well you will need to come and see the new baby! Mom didn't know what to say after that except for "What baby?" Of course she picked up on it and was very excited!

On December 9, 2013 at 3 weeks 6 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Parents (The Long's)
I was talking on the phone to my Mom (Stacey) and she sadly told me that they had to change their Christmas plans and would not be able to come and visit. Instead they would be coming in June. Well I replied, Well I'm going to be really big in June! My mom was like..."What do you mean!" I said, "What do you think I mean?" She then proceeded to congratulate me very excitedly. =) We then got onto Skype and were able to show my step dad my son wearing his pregnancy announcement t-shirt! =)

On December 7, 2013 at 3 weeks 4 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to In-Laws
My son turned one Dec. 7th, so we had a photo shoot for him that morning. He took pictures in a t-shirt that said "I'm going to be a Big Brother August 2014" That evening after the birthday party, we took our son over to my husband's parent's house and when they read his t-shirt they were so excited!!!


On December 6, 2013 at 3 weeks 3 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
Got a faint positive at 2am Dec. 6! Retested again on the 7th-another faint positive, and then again on the 10th and got a strong positive!

Told Husband/Partner
Because I got my BFP at 2am I was considerate and waited to tell my husband until he woke up for work. I wrote "It's positive" on the HPT (since it was indeed faint) and I left it on the bathroom counter. We he went into the bathroom to get ready for work I heard him laugh quietly, I could hear the excitement in his voice! =)
