Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
Over Christmas break, others (Bella and Guy) were able to feel kicks for the first time. Nick didn't feel much quite yet, but a couple weeks later he woke me up in the middle of the night because he felt a GIANT kick from baby boy. I didn't even know he had his hand on my tummy. He was very excited, though. :)

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
The day we found out we were having a boy and a girl we told EVERYONE. We could not be happier!!! It was our level 2 ultrasound at Meadowbrook in St. Louis Park.

Found Out Baby's Gender
Our level 2 ultrasound was at 19 weeks on Dec. 13. A GIRL and a BOY!!! All are healthy, but we need to return in 6 weeks to check if one of our boy's heart chambers has fully closed. They have told us not to worry as 80% of these cases fix themselves. Because of this, we have decided not to tell others until we get more information in January. Otherwise, baby girl is baby A on the lower half- wiggling around and flipping constantly. Baby boy is B and was cool and content at the top most of the time. :)

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
At almost 15 weeks pregnancy, we spent the weekend in Duluth! The 2nd night we were winding down in the living room at the Cannon's when I felt a little "tap-tap" for the first time that I absolutely knew what it was. Right now I'm happy to feel them once or twice in the evening when I'm laying very still. :)

Not too fast...bedrest.
Some complications with a subchorionic hemorrhage put me on bedrest for a week. One week later, the hemorrhage had gone down 1/3 its size while the babies continue to grow on track. Continuing to take it easy hopefully while still teaching at school.

First Ultrasound- It's TWINS!!!
I know, Nick and I catch ourselves still in shock here and there, saying "two bebes!" under our breath! We found out when the Dr. started with , "Let's call this one 'Baby A'....." Our eyes were huge but we were in sort of a silent state of shock...scared to ask just exactly what he meant, and secretly hoping he wouldn't go further and name a 'Baby C'! And then we just giggled, in the U/S room, in the hall, in the eleveator, in the car, etc. We were so excited, I don't think either one of us SHOULD have driven home after that. We were in a daze for quite a while. And I love saying "babies," it's so fun to see the reactions from other people that we've told (you wouldn't believe some of the things that people say!)

We called the parents and Barb, sent an EPT test to Nate and Gina and to Guy. Everyone is excited. :)

First Positive Pregnancy Test
The first test we took on Monday we couldn't agree on. I knew I was pregnant and could see a faint line, but Nick didn't want to believe it until it was a strong positive. The next afternoon it was brightly positive. Two lines!! The next day we confirmed it at the clinic with a positive beta blood test and I received a phone call early afternoon, but I'm glad we got to find out together the night before.

Embryo Transfer
2 beautiful embies planted!!

Egg Retrieval
24 eggs were retrieved. Later we found out that 20 of them were mature enough to attempt to fertilize. 16 of those fertilized for day 2. By day 5 we had 2 perfect blastocytes and 4 others they would watch for another day to freeze. 4 were put to freeze with a 25% of them being successful in the future. My recovery was a tough one! I was in bed for 4 days and still sore by the transfer date. The Dr. said my ovaries had grown to the size of baked potatoes.
