On December 15, 2015 at 19 weeks 0 days pregnant
Found Out Baby's Gender
My husband, daughter, and I made a 90 minute trip to Erie to Pink or Blue 4D Ultrasound Studio to find out the baby's gender. My local OB/GYN office couldn't get me in for the anatomy scan until AFTER Christmas and I simply couldn't wait that long - especially since I had planned to do the gender reveal when my extended family gathered for the holiday dinner. My husband & I thought it was a boy. My daughter guessed girl. My daughter was right and she was thrilled to find out she was going to have a little sister.

On October 7, 2015 at 9 weeks 1 day pregnant
First Ultrasound
Daddy and I saw our little bean for the first time at 9w1d gestation. The baby's heart rate was 164-165bpm and we could see teeny tiny buds where the arms and legs were forming. I was given a due date of May 10, 2016.

On September 3, 2015 at 4 weeks 2 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
I had been having odd luteal phase symptoms since 2-3dpo. At 11dpo my BBT should have begun to fall in preparation for my period. However, it did not, so because of that and the strange symptoms, I decided to take a test (top.) It turned unmistakably positive within the first minute. I couldn't believe it. I was shaking, smiling, and crying all at once. I took an Equate test (bottom) later that night just to be sure & it also turned positive within the first minute.

Told Husband/Partner
My husband was asleep when I took the test and I had to wait for 45 minutes for him to get up so I could share the news. Once he was awake I called him to the bathroom, told him to close his eyes, and I placed the positive test in his hand. He opened his eyes, looked at the test, blinked and looked at me, and asked, "does this mean it's positive??" =)
