Prental Tests: Glucose Challenge Test
I did my blood sugar test in the morning. I had oatmeal for breakfast. I was so worried about the drink making me sick that when I got to the lab and got the orange sugar drink, I chugged the drink down right away. The girl beside me who was also doing the same test said "you're brave" - I just wanted to get it all down right away. I ended up not having gestational diabetes - yay!

Detail ultrasound
I had my 3rd ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was very nice and let me pee a couple of times (too much pee). Got to see lots of the baby. BJ came in after about 15 minutes and got to see a large part of the ultrasound. The tech couldn't tell us the gender, but he did give us a peek and let us guess. We think it's a girl.

Care transferred to OB
Since my pregnancy is now considered mid-to-high risk, my care has been officially transferred from a Midwife to an OB.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
Had to go buy maternity pants. I was wearing yoga pants before. Date is approximate.

Diagnosed with Bicornuate Uterus/ OB Consult
OB said he considers it mid-risk and will need more ultrasounds and closer observation.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I think I've been feeling my baby move. It feels like muscle twitches or something.

It's been gradually getting stronger. I felt the baby roll on Dec 28th, feels like a ball rolling inside me plus a bit of pressure.

Ultrasound to confirm Bicornuate Uterus
I had an ultrasound that confirmed that I have a bicornuate uterus.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Finally heard baby's heartbeat for the first time at my second midwife appointment. It sounded like the clippy-clop of a horse. It was 160 bmp. I was so excited to hear the heartbeat. I can't wait to hear it again!

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
After another meeting was finished, I asked my boss if she was busy and could we talk for a few minutes. I closed the door and then I just came out and said "I'm pregnant" and she was excited and congratulated me and such. It went fairly well.

First Ultrasound
I drank 1 liter of water and stopped at 9am (appoint was at 10am). I had to pee so bad at 9:15am that we ended up heading to my appointment. It was so painful. Waiting to register with my full bladder was torture. When my name was finally called to have my ultrasound I got up and Bj had to wait in the registry area. The tech had me pee out an entire solo cup worth of urine. So much better after going to the bathroom a bit. Then the tech started measuring things and the baby. The baby is healthy and the dates are correct. I got a CD with pictures on it to take home.

Started taking Diclectin
I started taking the Diclectin that the midwife prescribed. I started with the 2 at night. The next morning I did not feel sick.

On October 27, 2014 at 9 weeks 3 days pregnant
First Prenatal Appointment
I had my first midwife appointment today with my midwife. It was awesome. She gave me a booklet full of information and answered all of my questions. I also did a pee dip test for protien and glucose (trace protein, negative glucose). I will be having a dating ultrasound soon.

On September 27, 2014 at 5 weeks 1 day pregnant
Morning sickness started
So far the morning sickness is just nausea and I have not puked yet. Although a couple of times since it's started I have dry heaved.

Pregnancy Blood Test Results
I ended up calling the doctor's office rather than waiting for them to call me. The results were positive. However the nurse said that the numbers were a bit low, but that was probably because it was so early.
I'm going to let family and close friends know.

Pregnancy Blood Test
I took a half day and had my blood drawn in the afternoon. They said that they would call me with the results. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant since I have two positive tests and no period.

Told Husband/Partner
I was bursting to tell Bill all day. He called me at work and told me that he had a stomach bug and wasn't feeling very good. I left work and drove to dollarama and bought some gingerale and also a onesie. I wrapped the positive test in the onsie and then gave it to him with the gingerale in bed. He was confused at first and had to flick the light on to see it and then just croaked out "congratulations". Poor guy was so sick that he slept in bed most of the day.

On September 16, 2014 at 3 weeks 4 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
I woke up at 6:30am on September 16th, couldn't sleep and decided it was time to take a pregnancy test. I used my dollarama test first and it had a BFP after 2 minutes. well it might have been sooner than 2 minutes, but I had to leave the room so that I wouldn't stare at it. I was freaking out. Omg!! So then I took a first response test and it was positive too. OMG OMG!!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
While Bill was in bed sick with a stomach bug I called my dad and told him. He said "Oh that's awesome!" and was really excited. I talked to him for a bit. Then I called Judy and told her and she squealled with excitment (Kevin apparently knows now because of that too).

I've also told Katie, Nikki, AJ and Kelly this week too.
