On July 26, 2015 at 19 weeks 2 days pregnant
Picked a Name
We thought long and hard (and fought a little), Daddy wanted a traditional Irish name because he is just very in love with them. I did not want it to be the first name, so we made a compromise, he could pick the middle name and I wouldn't get a say in it.
Her name is going to be Aurora Nuala Cotton.

Found Out Baby's Gender
Went do the Doctor for genetic testing and counseling, since my blood test came back positive for carrying Cystic Fibrosis. They wanted an ultrasound just to make sure everything was alright. The doctor checked everything, brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, ect. Well, she tried to, but the baby just couldn't stop moving. It was like there was a little dance party going on in there. lol Then finally got down to the little wiggle worm's privates, but baby's legs were closed so tight that we couldn't see anything!
The doctor finally shook my belly and poked at it a bit, and the baby moved positions enough for us to take a little peek. We saw the telltale three white lines that indicate a little girl!
(Her Daddy cried, he was so happy to just see the baby. Let alone find out he's having a girl. It was a sweet moment.)

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
My mother wanted to know SO BAD, that she actually got upset when I made her wait until we had the announcement ready for everyone to see. We called my mom first, then my Nannie (Mom's mom), then my Dad, then told Dad's mom. THEN, we posted <attached picture> to FaceBook. Everyone is more than ecstatic that baby is a little girl. They're all so excited to buy cute little dresses and stuff. Baby girl is so loved already.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Woke up and felt a little jab / pop in my stomach. Then kept feeling the same thing every couple of minutes.

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
After I felt the little pop inside, I had him put his hand on my tummy. He said it was very very light, but he could kind of feel little jabs coming from inside. It was a magical moment.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
The doctor brought in the little doppler machine and squeezed some gel on my belly. It took her a minute to find the baby, (this child moves FAR too much), but once she did the tears broke out. I'm positive that hearing this little one's heartbeat is the best sound in the entire world. It was in the 160's.

On May 7, 2015 at 7 weeks 6 days pregnant
First Prenatal Appointment
First prenatal appointment, they did urine testing, blood testing, pap smear, ultrasound, and breast / pelvic exams.

First Ultrasound
She had already cleaned off the machine and everything before anyone thought about pictures. So she just snapped a few real quick-like without my information in the system. The doctor said that baby's heartbeat is nice and strong.

Missed Miscarriage
Baby B left only an empty sac, no baby, no heartbeat.

On April 18, 2015 at 5 weeks 1 day pregnant
Announced The Pregnancy Publicly.
I posted this photo to FaceBook and Instagram. Everyone is super excited.

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
My manager called him after I told her because I can't work the Truck at work anymore (at least for the time being), and I had to see about getting my schedule fixed so I didn't have to worry about it. They both told me congratulations.

Told Best Friend, Phillip.
He reacted relatively neutral. He congratulated me, but that's about it.

Told My Roommate, Steven.
James and I fought over who was going to tell him, but ultimately, we used the promise that I had made to James; (I will read the Harry Potter series all the way through. Once I'm pregnant.) So, James took out book #1 and put it on my head exclaiming "READ YOUR BOOK!" Steven walked into the bathroom, backpedaled, and said "Wait, I thought she said she would read that if she got pregnant..? YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" HE then proceeded to look up Hotel costs for the next 9 months. lmao

First Doctor's Appointment Set Up
Called the Keim Center and set up an appointment to confirm the pregnancy.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
I told my Mom and Step-Dad in person, with Mom's Mom (My Nannie) on Skype. I gave Mom a bag with [Attached Picture] inside. She seemed very shocked, then happy, then almost angry, then excited. Congratulations went around.
Then I called my Dad and Step-Mom and told them over the phone since they live in another state. They were worried, as we aren't entirely that well off financially, but congratulated me.
Mom called my Aunt, Cousin, and her BFF; They all congratulated me.
Nannie said she dreamt that I was pregnant three days prior, and she knew already.

On April 12, 2015 at 4 weeks 2 days pregnant
Told "Sister"
She is currently in another country for school, so I messaged her and told her I needed to tell her a secret. I told her she was going to be an Auntie, she was super excited!

Told Best Friend, Meg.
I told her that I had a secret and she can't tell anyone else what I was about to tell her. After she found out, she said she was super excited and happy. (:

On April 11, 2015 at 4 weeks 1 day pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
He was in the shower getting ready for work, I woke up and noticed that my period hadn't started yet; (and I always test the day of if it hasn't started.) I tested while he was showering. I saw the positive, and said; "Uh. James.." he asked what, I showed him the test. lol

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Woke up, took the test, it came back positive! Such a surprise!!
